Guests

For the past three decades, since its establishment, The Arches has always attracted high profile international personalities among its guests who chose this restaurant’s exquisite food and excellent service. In fact, over the years, some of the guests to visit The Arches were none other than his Holiness Pope John Paul II, his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, and the famous pop group Boney M.

Since its refurbishment at the beginning of 2007, The Arches has continued with that trend and in fact has already hosted various world famous personalities from the entertainment and cultural arena.

The trio of famous Italian singers Claudio Baglioni, Gianni Morandi, and Riccardo Cocciante were joined by popular Italian TV presenter Fabrizio Frizzi, whilst world renowned conductor Riccardo Muti also dined at The Arches in 2007. In January 2008, during the visit to Malta of the Juventus Football Club, The Arches Restaurant hosted a number of delegates from this club including the famous club Team Manager Gianluca Pessotto, for a gala dinner. The Arches also hosted Oscar-winning actor and director Roberto Benigni, who was on an official visit to Malta, for dinner in April 2008.

In October 2008, world famous singer-songwriter Michael Bolton, accompanied by his crew, dined at The Arches Restaurant. The American superstar performed at the MFCC on 4 October. Moto GP rider James Toseland was another personality who dined at The Arches when he was visiting Malta in September 2009 whilst in November 2009, the restaurant also welcomed American actor and film director Ethan Hawke.
